Right, I'd be shocked it it made any difference at all. Calcium is not normally seen to be limiting to calcification at either concentration. You sure that calcium drop you report was not accompanied by an alk or pH drop, both of which would be known to limit calcification?
I can't say for sure Randy, If I ever see a dkH drop i adjust my red sea foundation B dosing straight away, but that normally needs an increase in calcium too... ofcourse it could be a whole number of different things.... like relative nutrients availability/ cleanliness of lights or clarity of water / pH / Ca -CO3-Mg ratio change / Strontium or Barium that's also in the Foundation A mix etc..... but for me, everytime Ca drops below 420 ppm, SPS growth in height/length is stunted, but they then "thicken" up in girth. Calcium over 420, like my normal 430 ppm target to 450 i get fast continuous growth in length with very prominent white tips.
I'm attributing this to the increase in calcium, as that's the parameter that has been seen to drop, but as before, it could be something else in conjunction or even just bad testing and other things have changed without being noticed.

just joking ! if you ever want to do a frag swap let me know.... i'm sure we can find a beer garden somewhere between us
