Dragon soul favia acclimatizing?

I've never seen so many tentacles on ...guess we'll all check back in a couple of months and watch our progress

@markrob that's a nice dragon soul. I would stop putting pellets on the coral without it feeding tentacles. Eventually your coral will start showing feeding responses, mostly at night to begin with. I'd suggest high quality foods like reef nutrition mysis max, roe, etc, and LRS reef frenzy over pellets. Give it time.

Mine is pretty hit and miss. Super slow grower . My Rasta is even worse lol. I’ve only seen polyps like 3 times

So tried to feed reef roids to dragon soul but dont know what this is coming off it. Am i too late is it dying?

Probably just mucus trying to capture the food. My euphyllias do the same thing

Hope so just broadcast fed for now to try it. Mushroom attacked it straight away closed up ( looks like it turns inside out lol) , seemed excited about it. I will try later at lights out.

It doesn't look like its dying but I would stop trying to feed it for now. After the lights go off check the coral with a flashlight and see if its feeders are out. If so then just broad cast feed some reefroids at that time. Twice a week at the most is plenty.

It doesn’t look like it’s dying. Don’t feed pellet they can’t eat pellets. As rightly mentioned by all try feeding something like reef roids. Or you can feed other particulate food. It takes time for them to get their polyps out I’ve 3 favites in my tank. My pineapple brain took huge amount of time to get its tentacles out.
And if you want to check out those tentacles of his wait for lights out in your tank and then check with torch you’ll be blown away.

Moved my dragon soul higher trying to get the polyps to show it was on sand bed .been on this rock a week dont know how healthy its looking would it be better on flat or th8n rock on sand bed? Just trying to keep it off the ground.

Moved dragon soul trying to get it to feed pr get its polyps out. It wason sand bed tried differant positiond to no avail. Moved to this rock sort of middle depth of tank. Dont know if i did the right thing its been here a week still no signs tried reef roids mushroom loves it but stillno signs of polyps on favia how healthy you people thinkits looking? Would it be better back on sand bed perhaps on a flat rock or tile to raise it offthe sandslightly?

I'd move it back and keep it there. The coral looks stressed. More light will not make the coral have a feeding response. I'd suggest leaving it be for a while after moving it back to the sand bed including not feeding it.

Thanks mate i will give it a go. Would it be better slightly raisexd offthe sand bed. Been tokd the sand can irritate it?

You can place it on a larger rock on the sand bed.
