yea! I finally turned the pump on last night, only 1 leak. The only problem I have is the pump is way big! I have the bean stype overflow with 1" PVC pipe and both of them were running at full siphon and I still couldn't open most of the outlet valves or it would overflow the tank. I think I can fit two 1 1/2" PVC lines for the drains. I am going to switch one of them over tonight and try it out to see how much more drainage I can get. This is one bad pump! (baraccuda gold). I am thinking it may be too much unless I use it as a closed loop.
The lock line outlets from the main top feed line worked perfect to stop the back siphon with plenty of room to spare in the Sump. So now that I know these work I am going to add the check valve anyway, then I do not need to worry about the Sump filling up at all when I turn off the pump to feed.
Once I tune the input/output this week, I am going to be able to let it run for a week or two while I start work on the LEDs. I will post a final picture of the plumbing when I get the new overflow standpipes in tonight
