I think his problem is drain pipes he said are 2" from bottom of sump. I said cut em to where they only go in water like 1" that should cut the gurggling but I duno why they wont handle an 1100gph pump.

I also found some info on dorsal pipes that is recommend the use of 1.5 on a 1 inch bulkhead.

Front view and top view of the rock. Well quick update just started filling up the tank. As you see im going with a minimal style rock work beacause I want room for the fish and also im only going with selected few sps the rest will be chalices, acans,favias, zoas and a few more lps corals.

Is already more than half full but can transfer anything yet cause I had an amonia spike of .50 so I added some bacteria supplement and now is reading 0 so im gonna give it a few days and see how it does. Then Im gonna add about 4 pepper mint shrimp and not feed them so they can eat a few aptasias I have in there

Lol actually they great filters if you manage to keep a bunch on a dark area like a blacked out sump making a cryptic zone

agreed! I have some in my sump. not many but there are some in there and they survive the winter with the lids on the sump.

they are like computer folks in that way. my whole IT staff can go days without light

Just got the Metal Halide done I still have to twick the lights cause the weight of the cable is making them lean. But yea I went with halide, I had leds but it was gonna take me more time to build a hangers for my leds and plus I had to solder all my new leds and thats takes time so I went with this sinse they already had brackets.

I just filled it up a few days ago to that level the rest of water is in the 150 which I will transfer either tomorrow or weds. No filter at the momment just live rock and flow

Getting closer. Just got done with the transfer man what a pain. Still have to install the controller, skimmer, algae scrubber, mp40 ect
