Sump baffles arrived. Anyone have a skimmer recommendation? I want to measure for the skimmer and maximize refugium space. I also need to pick a return pump and measure for it.

I imagine skimmer will go in first chamber with the filter socks?

Yes I believe so. I wanted the t5 hybrid fixture, but it will be slightly too wide for my canopy plan.
I hope 2 ap700 will be enough. I suppose I can always add a third in the middle if not satisfied. I really dislike the center brace

I'd sure think 2 AP700's would do the job.

I run a 160, virtually silent, great bit of kit.

I have accomplished nothing in the last week. Feeling a bit intimidated by the plumbing of it and that kind of soaked up my motivation. When I purchased it I intended to keep the plumbing the same. I have now realized I can't because the sound of the durso would drive me crazy. I think I need to replace the return pipe in each overflow for a full siphon and keep the 2 durso pipes for excess trickle?

I will probably skip the left side return as shown in this sketch and use powerhead on that side instead.
The pipes are all 1". Also looking for a recommendation for a return pump to fit the plumbing needs.

Any advice or input appreciated!

Also how to fill in the plumbing underneath in my sketch.

I just have a nano tank now, but when I had a big tank, I had a fuge, it was nice, but the chaeto wasnt enought for the bioload, i still was having phosphate issues. I tried the egg crate chaeto and it was better, cleaner, but still phosphates. Then i got an algae scrubber, havent had to deal with phosphates or algae again. Just something to think about.

Trying to get the plumbing sorted out... do I want both overflows to look like this? Would my water level be middle of the higher tube. I can do my return over the top.

Or... could I do one corner with 2 overflows and the other left durso with the return inside the overflow. I would that be noisy?

Any tips if my overflow plumbing will work? Do these heights look right for one full siphon and one trickle. I just placed an order for a Varios 8 pump. I need to get this thing plumbed so I can move on with the build!

I feel like this is progress. Return pump is in hand! Now I can silicone in the sump baffles.

I tried going Herbie with mine when I set it up. Couldn't keep full syphon and gave up, went back to just Durso. Probably because of the distance to my basement sump. Hope it works for you.
