I would just leave the tank alone, no WC's, if you dose keep doing that, but otherwise no dosing. Sometimes patience pays off quite well
In good flow? They like a good hit of flow.
OK, sounds good. How level can you keep your alk and calcium with the kalk? I used to use it and could get in the ballpark, but always used 2 part manually to get numbers exact. Also, as a side note, there are a lot of ATO pumps that will be ruined by the kalk in the ATO, Tunze being one, Avast Marine another one. I killed two Tunze's before I figured it out and am using the Avast Marine now, no kalk. I miss the pH it gives combined with a CO2 scrubber, but I'd rather have a working ATO. Maybe try taking it out and inspecting it; Avast gives a warning that kalk will definitely destroy their float valve backup and will damage the peristaltic pump (if I remember correctly)Just dosing kalk in ATO

Anyway, back on topic, I would just keep doing what you are doing and don't change anything. Some corals don't like our tanks....
I agree, your nitrates are a bit high yea which is shockin to me, I would think your corals would be happier, try bringing the closer to the light or even further away if they are too close. Make sure your blue lights are strong, not like crazy strong but maybe up it a bit. The blue lighting penetrates the water, the white does not.Is it is a place were the lighting is to strong for it so its closing up to get away from the light? Just a thought

What's your phosphate at? Duncan's like a little bit of phosphate.
Have you dipped them before you put them in .. ??
Very cool !My alk stay pretty much at 8 and cal at 450-475ish. I only use 5 tsp per 5 gal ATO at first dosed 10 and drop it because thought it was melting my zoas. I also keep my tunze pump off the bottom to keep pump in semi good shape along with a good vinegar soak from time to time. Yeah I'll keep keeping on, I mean it acts like it wants to open up so I'll just give it some time.
Side note got some new frags at local expo yesterday!
