Nice fish, LFS near me has 2 of these in 10,000l display, the bigger must be the best part 24", looks great but they get sooo big!

Thanks, yeah they do get big and grow fast. I have in a 475 +Sump’s and I left the aquas cape open so that there is a lot of swimming room. Tom

How is he doing with other tank mates in a 475g? What else do you have in there with him?

Do you think it’s too much to have the following in a 540g with a sump of 160g

Duss. Tang, vlamingi, Black tang, sohal tang, Lieutenant tang, personifer Angel, blue face angel, gold flake angel, yellow mask swallowtail angel pair, moorish idol, and a scribbled angel

No if the aggression is OK you’ll be fine. You can fit a lot of fish in a 4-600 gallon tank.

Thanks Only thing to keep in mind is once a Sohal starts getting big any fish could get picked on especially one like the Idol. I would love to get an Idol but I don’t know if he would hold its own. I had a Sohal that became very aggressive and I hear some are not so bad. It’s a roll of the dice.

Agreed but sohal is indeed beautiful. I’ve had him for a few years and he is at 8”.

Nothing presentable on the sohal. He’s been in his own holding tank while I’m slowly consolidating/introducing all fish into the 540g, which I have some pix of.
