I had one in a 150 for about 3 years. Growth slowed down after about 11 inch, but color became more intense afterwards.

These guys are semi aggressive, require Large tanks 210-500 gallons recommended, and only get more colorful as they mature. They eat at least 2oz of food per day and grow quickly. I have one at 9" ( see pics below) and they do get along with others as in my 2nd pic.
In my third pic- this is the potential colors you will see on a dussomieri. They are not cheap in price often seen from $199 to $399 but offer all the color you would want !!

Yes the balance is off but they are extremely beautiful. The aussies are brighter than the pacific. And more costly
