I recently bought a dwarf zebra lionfish.
He was supposedly eating krill at the lfs, but I can't get him interested in eating.
I actually bounced krill off his head, and a piece even landed next to his mouth. He was uninterested.
I placed a few live (small) swordtails in the tank as well. He barely noticed them.
Tank parameters are fine. It's a full-blown reef tank with rapid coral growth. The other fish eat constantly. He's not being picked on.
I've never kept a dwarf lion before, but I really thought it would be easier to get it to eat. I thought he'd be like other predators I've kept, i.e. Panther groupers, marine bettas, et al.
Any ideas?
