I have a 90 Gallon with a 20 gallon sump. I have already lost 2 Skunk clowns, 1 coral beauty, 1 yellow goby, 1 purple dottyback, and multiple fire fish. My LFS says the fish caught ich along with cryptocaryon. I also have a Bristle tooth tang. He is the only fish left. I have moved him to a quarantine tank. All this happened within the past week. My water parameters are small trace of nitrite, phosphates .03, kh 10, cal 340 salinity 1.025. I have also been feeding ich shield.
Is there anything else I should do?

Also the only loan surviver looks like this.

He is now in a 29 gallon tank that has a sponge filter heater pic hiding places. Salinity at 1.025. Dosed with cupramine and seed.

I agree with big g, to take out your fish that quickly has to he velvet. Best bet is to left the tank sit fallow for 78 days, any fish you have left quarantine and try treating with chloroquine phosphate

He's not eating in QT. When I enter the room he hides. Hes only been in Qt for about 24 hrs.

True out all the lights. He is stressed. Try feed him seaweed. Once you get him eating that’s one step closer. Then treatment

That’s vekvet. Definitely start copper in QT ASAP!

I started copper in At yesterday night. Hope all goes well.

Humblefish has reported that giving fish freshwater dip and the acriflavine (I use Ruby Reef Ralley) bath increased survival rates. Methods are in that link I sent you.

Unfortunately my bristle tooth tang died last night. I have to start with all new fish. Before I start with new fish is there anything I should do to my display tank and the quarantine tank before I get any new arrivals?

Your DT needs to stay fishless for 76 days for any disease to starve out. Wash the QT with bleach or vinegar, rinse thoroughly and completely dry. Same with the equipment from the QT. Sorry for your losses. Been there ☹️

Could I still add coral? Or is that not a good idea.
Great question. Here's the current debate going on in the reefing community: There is the possibility that if you add corals into your DT, you could be transferring ich that has encysted on the coral or coral plug, snail shells, etc.. You could use your QT, once cleaned, dried, and cycled to QT your new corals while the DT is starving out any traces of disease. That being said, others would say that if you are dipping your corals and carefully examining them, you could place them into the DT while it is doing its 76 day fallow. But remember you would be taking a chance of importing disease into your DT. Are you willing to risk it? That's the question. Here's a link on this very discussion. It's kinda long but lots of thinking going on. Hope it helps. Merry Christmas!

It all depends on what side you want to play with. Less safe side is dip the coral and then put to DT no matter there is fish in DT or not. Chances are you may still introduce fish parasite to your DT even with dipping the coral. I have been there before...

You can also add coral to DT if the DT has no fish in it. But you will need to start the 76/78 days fishless count from the last coral you add to the DT.

Safest side is to set up a separate coral QT tank (fishless) and let the coral sits in there for 76/78 days. You can do it in batches, that said each batch will have there own 76/78 days clock and it won't reset the clock when you put the second batches in. But remember to dip/rinse thoroughly before putting the coral into coral QT. This is what I did right now, but I even play it on the extreme side. Sine I bought corals in different time span, I started the 76 days clock at the very last coral I added. And when the clock started I didn't add anything wet to the coral QT tank since then. I added my coral back to my DT last week and so far so good. My fish were all treated and DT went fallow for 76 days before putting fish back in. Since September till now I have not seen any sign of ich or other parasite in my DT, fish are all fat and happy.
