E-marco 400 product review horrible.

I can only conclude it was a bad or stratified batch. I had the same outcome with some off-the-shelf hydraulic cement. Even long after it dried I could pull it part bare handed and it would crumble before ever even getting wet.

I went with eMarco and the stuff set incredibly well. Mixing small batches is critical; I wasted some the first time through. Unusable in 10-15 minutes.

I wonder if this was the problem for some of these folks. I only work in small amounts. Just enough to bond 1 or two pieces. Then I let it set up. It takes a long time to build a structure but it’s solid.

These took from about a week for the smaller to 45 days for larger.

I created a larger, single "rock" out of four or five smaller ones and it worked well for me. It's two feet long and a bit over one foot wide and weighs about 35lbs. I lifted it up and into the tank without issue. In tank, it's supported at three points and floats over the sand.

You did something wrong. This stuff cures stronger than the original rock. Cures solid in 24hrs.. after 2hrs it’s typically able to be moved But you gotta be very careful.

I have to agree with this assessment. I recently won the first NSA scape, that Ryan, from BRS, made. I don't know how much it weighs, but it's heavy. Fills up a fair amount of an 18x18 footprint. Anyway, Randy packed it up with foam sprayed in bags supporting the structure, as well as cradling the structure on the bottom and on the top, about 2-3" of protection, then it was shipped inside another box with 4-6" of foam above, below and on the sides of the internal box.

And arm still broke. but it was not one of Ryan's 25 or so connections constructed with super glue and this stuff. The rock itself broke, and it was not a skinny piece of rock. This stuff is literally stronger than rock!

I’m having the same issue. I’ve used this before and it was great. Seams I made 2 days ago are just crumbling. Did not have this issue last time. I’m wondering if it’s a bad batch too. Or maybe they changed their formula.
Where did you get the nyos from?

I just rec'd some gluemasters thin superglue...Gonna try it out soon...seen lots of u tube vids about it making nice aqauscapes...anyone else here use it ?

Either a bad batch somehow or user error. I've built 5 different scapes and I've never had a problem.
