Easiest way to post pictures on here?

Hey gang,

Random question, searched and couldn't find what I was looking for. How are y'all posting pictures on here? I take all of my photos with my iphone. Do y'all download your photos and then attach them or is there a way on my phone to do this? I used to use photobucket but I see that isn't a thing anymore unless you want to pay for a subscription. Just got a new tank and ready to start uploading.

And for videos it’s easiest to upload to YouTube then add the link here so everyone can see. If you just upload them on here people have to download them to watch.

I have tried this using Safari to access R2R on my phone to make posts and the pictures I load from my iPhone always load sideways, regardless of what picture it is and I find no way to rotate it.

Am I the only one that's run into this??

Not something I've had a problem with. I use chrome though

On your phone tap on the picture button in the tool bar

This drop down box should appear. Tap inside it and it will take you to your photos on your phone. Click the one you want and select done, it will upload for you.

Still tries to post photos sideways for me, Chrome or Safari. Does everyone take photos with their phones in landscape position or something? I don't typically ever hold my phone that way to take a photo, but seems odd this is just an issue for me seemingly. ;Facepalm

Is it possible your screen is locked? That happens sometimes to some people I know. I'm not using an iPhone, so I don't know how to unlock it, but it should be easy to do (just a setting), and it would cause the issue you're having.

Does it load sideways, or post sideways? Sometimes when the picture starts loading it is sideways, but then when it loads it is the correct way. You can check before posting by clicking the PREVIEW button

I always sent the pic to my email & then add it to my computer since I don't use my phone for R2R viewing.

Might be the way I’ll have to go if this sideways thing doesn’t resolve. More steps though.

Did you check the screen lock?

Rotate your iPhone screen

Rotate iPhone to change the screen orientation and see a different view.

If it’s not a screen lock issue you can rotate the photo on your iPhone. Simply go to the photos app on the phone, select the photo, click edit on the upper right corner, then you will see the option to rotate the photo at the bottom of screen, Select the rotate option then the rotate button will b on the top left.

Yes, I could do this however, then my photos will all be sideways on my phone. Which is fine but I’m still thinking this is not how most folks do it.

Unless most people take photos with their phone sideways/landscape, and I’m the only one that doesn’t.
It’s not a huge deal, but annoying and will probably prevent me from continuing my build thread just for lack of convenience.
