So I want to add a few corals to my 10 gallon clownfish tank what exactly would I need and what are some good begginer corals? Also what budget friendly light would be the best?

I would start with green star polyps, xenia, mushrooms and zoas, they are really cool corals that won’t break the bank.

Pass on Xenia. I had some and now it's worked into 3 different rocks. It's pretty but I'll be fighting it in a year. I went with mushrooms, zoas, clove polyps, and a hammer. All still alive.

Alright could you also point out which ones could possibly kill me.
Most zoas and palys can kill you to be honest. I just put a vampire in drag zoa in with no gloves today. Just washed my hands afterwards. Palys are worse. But just be careful and try to get them in the tank quick and don't touch your face or eyes.

The bacteria in your aquarium can kill you, just be careful and take the right precautions. I've had zoas for almost a year now and I've fragged them multiple times, just pay $10 for disposable gloves and goggles, and open up your windows when you cut them.

As above mentions Xenia, Zoas, Palys, GSP and Mushrooms are easy just make it so they are growing in a controlled area so they don't take over your tank. I have Xenia in a small rock in the corner of my tank and haven't had them pop up anywhere else, same goes for my Zoas.

Yup. I've seen an awful lot more problems with vibrio/myco/etc than I've seen people with actual palytoxin injury.

Is there anything I need to add to the water for corals.
If you choose to go with any of the above mentioned, regular water changes will be enough. No need for potions and lotions with those corals :)

Sweet!! But you still have to feed them right?
The ones mentioned above don’t require feeding, they will be happy as long as there is nutrients in the water, they quite forgiving and hardy corals. If you would like a corsl that you can feed I would try a trachyphyllia or a fugia plate

Not sure about the Nicrew. A Hipagero Aquaknight 30w works perfect for a 10g. About $60 or so. It's a very good light for the price. Will grow soft corals to SPS.

Yeah i was reading the reviews on amazon and it seemed like a good light but I seen the buttons were a hassle to use and the colors were not that well mixed due to being so far apart. I was also looking at the Phlizon 165W, what are your thoughts on that light?

My AI Prime grows SPS just fine. Got 2 of them on a 20 long and everything is doing fantastic! Each was $100 including the arm, control with a app on your phone. IMO, beginner corals aren’t really a thing. It’s just how much effort are you willing to put into caring for them? Obvi exceptions are things like nems who need established aquaria to survive.
