Eating Up RO Membranes

OKay so now I'm concerned. Seems like Marine Depot is backed up with UPS? My stuff still says it'll be delivered tomorrow but the packages say, "Ready To Go, label created" I need to make water!

We’re in business!
Let’s get to work

This is post Membrane
What is your water temp coming out of the end of the unit?

If you are still at 160 tds, you are getting about 95% rejection.
If your water is mid 80s, that might be right.

Okay water coming out of the unit 81.2F
TDS 8
So your only getting 95% rejection.
What is the stated rejection rate on the unit?

what ratio are you running it at? Put a cup under waste water and one under output and measure until the output hits half a cup. Then compare.

94.87% is still not bad. Their advertised is in a perfect testing environment. Can only get marginally better really.

Looking good @flyfisher2 did you mount any of the additional housings with it last night, or just setup as is out of the box?

I connected three canisters in addition to the stock unit
Running 5 micron sediment 1 micron sediment 5 micron carbon 1 micron carbon
And finally mixed DI
Let’s see how it goes from here. Between the membrane and DI consumption.
So far I’m liking the puratek and it’s auto flush
Lots of stuff happening with this unit and all kinds of relays.
Hopefully it will stand the test of time

Couldn’t find accurate specs on their membrane.
It throws you to the RO/DI unit
I’m assuming in the mid 90’s?

Any way I started collecting water for the 150 build. But have to do water change on my existing tanks as well.
Liking these Brutes

in the house much better than outside. Easier to maneuver and less pumping water between containers
Next step is a permanent install where this old man just has to turn a valve and be done

Just be mindful when rolling those containers especially when the joints come under the wheels.
Take it easy or you will be looking for a mop. DO NOT fill to the top!!!!!

What's your pressure reading when its running?
Where exactly do they have the booster pump tied in? Just before the RO?
