Ebay Chinese Light Fixture

I don't have direct experience with this light, but, I can tell you the Chinese black boxes are guilty of more than a few fires. The consumer protection laws in China are very loose and if 10% of their fixtures fail and only 1 in 1000 catches on fire, its not going to deter them from skimping out on the Power supply and using counterfeit LED diodes. For the price, you're probably going to get not a half bad light, but, you may do better investing in one of the US companies that produces premium "black boxes" like Reefbreeders, SB Reef lights, etc...They provide you with a product that has been manufactured for a great value, but with a warranty and domestic support.

I think the risk of fire is largely over exaggerated and a recent poll on this forum begs to differ.

Yea ^^^^.

I've not seen that light anywhere.
Prettt good looking fixture.

I thought it looked like a pretty nice light for the price, and I was thinking about upgrading from my Current USA Orbit IC and Aquatic Life Reef Edge Combo. Gives me like 200 par at 6" figure better PAR could lead to better SPS growth

Save yourself the hassle from buying anything from china. Most of those stuff fail within the first few months. Ive had my fair share of having cheap chinese stuff fail on me when i first got into the hobby.

Save up and invest in a good t5 fixture. You can go wrong with that.

Also look into reefbreeders lighting. They have great quality stuff for decent prices. Ive had great sucess with their lights in the past.

I think the possible fire from Chinese fixtures have been so exaggerated and beat to death that it's not even worth talking about. There's plenty of great and proven black boxes on the market. It's hard to get an opinion with out a level of bias when it comes to Chinese led fixtures but to the OP, that light is just fine.

Yeah, kinda, but they signature series which they build themselves is good for the price and good cree leds li Ai and a good heatsink. Use for a year and sold it for a ai hydra 26.

These look exactly the orbit leds. If you get these write a review I’d like to know how they work

Reefbreeders rebrands lights from china. The Photon V2 is most notably a rebrand direct from china. Cree Leds made in china. Radion insides all made in china. The computer you are using...made in china. This claim is outdated. My chinese LEDs been running for more than two years without issues.

I have not tried this light. But the spacing on the LEDs would suggest a lot of spectral separation resulting in a big disco effect.

I don't know how much I'm looking to spend, it depends on the quality. I just upgraded my pumps to two MP-4os. The only thing that really makes me consider upgrading my lights is that some of my SPS seem less than happy currently. Haven't quite been able to figure out why.

You could also try sbreef lights. They’re like the Chinese black boxes with a different spectrum. I did have problems setting up my two Wi-Fi versions, but if you get the ramping version, you should be okay. (Took a month and a half to get my problem solved [emoji36]).

I'm sure this light will work just fine. I couldn't figure out the width of the unit. My question is will oneness enough to prevent shadowing? Based on LED fixtures in general, I'm guessing you'll need two 48in??
