Ecotech Battery Backup Opinions

What do you guys think of the Ecotech battery backup? Is it effective? Is it worth the price? Are there better alternatives? Thanks!!

I think they are great. I replace the battery inside the unit every 3 years. Very worthwhile for me.

okay great....how many pumps do you run off them?

I actually use 2 batteries on one mp40. I should get about 3 days of run time.

I also run the ecotech battery backups, I have 1 battery per pump. 6 Vortechs and 2 Vectras.

Definitely well worth it.

I bought mine for hurricane season! Have not had to use it yet but to protect my babies, money’s no object. I think every reefer here would agree!

If you're tight for space, or not inclined to DIY, then go for it.
Value-wise, you're better off to make your own.

BRS ran a test with an MP 10 and got 3 days out of it. I have it run my S2 return pump which already runs low so I’ll have a good amount of run time.

Ecotech’s DC return pump. They call it the Vectra and there’s different sizes. The S2 is the smaller size, version 2

Apparently the version 1s sometimes melted

I've had mine for about 4 years now. There's been a few power outages and glad I had it.

i got a new one on ebay for $120 and love the thing. It has already come in handy 3 times during power outages since nov.

Not sure, it ran mine for atleast 6 hours but then I got power back. I also run mine at 4% normally so I don’t need a lot of juice
