I'm using the High Growth setting but I've got the intensity maxed at 75% . All 8 channels were automatically set to 100% with the MG setting.Ramps up from 23% to 75% in the first hour...Down from 75% to 23% last hour. Coral Lab settings just wasn't bright enough for 30" deep for me.Of course at 100% though I was getting par readings of 180 on the sand through my glass tops.![]()
How do you hang these bad boys? Would you please share a fts with all three lights are on, when u've a chance?
I made a canopy out of 1x2s and built a rack out of aluminum L-channel for them to sit on.How do you hang these bad boys? Would you please share a fts with all three lights are on, when u've a chance?

I'm curious, what were your settings?
Look at my link above. I've had vastly different results from you if your G4 is on the left.
Running AB+, I set the new violet channel to 100% and the new white to 24%.
Did they release a new AB+ just for the G4 that is different than that?
Yes, all blues and purples are set at 100 and the whites, green and red at 24.Did you drop your green and red down to 24% to match the Coral Lab +AB channels? When I click on Live View (on the left)all my channels are at 100% and don't change no matter what preset I switch to.
Yes, all blues and purples are set at 100 and the whites, green and red at 24.
When I did this, the G4 most definitely had a "warmer" more full spectrum look to it than the G3. You could really see it in the color of the rocks. Instead of a dull blue surface, they were more purple.
This is why I was saying the other person's pics look wayyyy off.

Click on an individual point on the graph (little blue outlined circle) and then look to the left side of your screen. You should see all 8 channels.
The coral lab AB+ stock setting, if I remember correctly, has the overall brightness setting set at around 25%. Way too dim! I was running my G3's at 95% mounted 17" over the water.I'm not sure what happens but when I just load the Coral Lab+AB settings and program it to the lights, they reset and are very dim looking. When I go to Live View and move the slider down and change the settings manually to match the Coral Lab+AB settings the lights automatically adjust to those settings and it's a lot different look (brighter and better). This was why I was using the High Growth preset because the CL+AB was so dim. But now I'm completely confused.![]()
You can use the RMS rails, mounts and hanging kit.
If you're hanging, you do not need the arms.

These are the G3 but you get the idea

I cannot compare the G3 to the G4, but for sure the G4 is much brighter than my old Hydra 52 non HD. All corals are double happy once I switched now. Very pleased with the G4 so far!
