I'm using the High Growth setting but I've got the intensity maxed at 75% . All 8 channels were automatically set to 100% with the MG setting.Ramps up from 23% to 75% in the first hour...Down from 75% to 23% last hour. Coral Lab settings just wasn't bright enough for 30" deep for me.Of course at 100% though I was getting par readings of 180 on the sand through my glass tops. :)

You can use the RMS rails, mounts and hanging kit.
If you're hanging, you do not need the arms.

These are the G3 but you get the idea

I made a canopy out of 1x2s and built a rack out of aluminum L-channel for them to sit on.

.....and you don't have to adjust your screens yes I still use the Super Actinic VHOs :D

I'm curious, what were your settings?
Look at my link above. I've had vastly different results from you if your G4 is on the left.
Running AB+, I set the new violet channel to 100% and the new white to 24%.
Did they release a new AB+ just for the G4 that is different than that?

Did you drop your green and red down to 24% to match the Coral Lab +AB channels? When I click on Live View (on the left)all my channels are at 100% and don't change no matter what preset I switch to.

Yes, all blues and purples are set at 100 and the whites, green and red at 24.
When I did this, the G4 most definitely had a "warmer" more full spectrum look to it than the G3. You could really see it in the color of the rocks. Instead of a dull blue surface, they were more purple.
This is why I was saying the other person's pics look wayyyy off.

I'm not sure what happens but when I just load the Coral Lab+AB settings and program it to the lights, they reset and are very dim looking. When I go to Live View and move the slider down and change the settings manually to match the Coral Lab+AB settings the lights automatically adjust to those settings and it's a lot different look (brighter and better). This was why I was using the High Growth preset because the CL+AB was so dim. But now I'm completely confused. :(

Click on an individual point on the graph (little blue outlined circle) and then look to the left side of your screen. You should see all 8 channels.

So I did as you instructed and was able to see the individual channels when I clicked on a point. All the blues and Violet's and UV were at 100% and the rest of the colors were at 24% I dunno why there was such a big color difference between my G4 and G3 compared to yours. Now that I just have the G4 the coloring in the few corals I have looks great.

The coral lab AB+ stock setting, if I remember correctly, has the overall brightness setting set at around 25%. Way too dim! I was running my G3's at 95% mounted 17" over the water.
I've dropped it down to 80% with the G4's but still need to get my hands on a PAR meter to see where I'm at now compared to before.

I agree, it was way to dim for me. Right now I'm getting 125-130 par on the sand at 26" depth. That's running the lights at 75%....Lights are 10" above my glass tops. I know the tops are probably knocking it down some. Both whites at 30%...Green and red 25%. The rest 100%. I do like that it shows how many watts are used total with each setting change. Mine are at 388 watts consumed.

Got three G4 Pros and installed over the weekend. A few pictures to share.

I just upgraded over (2) kessil A360WEs with four T5s. Sorry, these are just the G4, not the pro. Really love the spread, and the colors are pretty incredible. This pic is the stock 12k color right out of the box, and it looks very close to the radium metal halide I'd been running for the previous week. Set at 70% intensity, I'm getting mid 300's upper rocks, low/mid 200's mid rocks and 100+ on the sand bed. Borrowed club apogee 500 par meter. Mounted with the RMS tank mount, which is super simple and solid and clean

My rank is a 120G 48X24X24 with 2 X XR30 Pro G4s and 2 X 48" T5s (ATI blue+)

I have the Radions mounted parallel with the tank currently set on the AB+ setting at a max of 70% intensity.
Is it better to mount the lights front to back?

I made the transition from XR30 G3 Pros to G4 Pros roughly a month ago and couldn't be happier. The improved spectrum and spread from the HEI Optics easily puts the G4's at the top of the hill.

I cannot compare the G3 to the G4, but for sure the G4 is much brighter than my old Hydra 52 non HD. All corals are double happy once I switched now. Very pleased with the G4 so far!
