Ah the new model craze!

Reality is, most hobbyist will likely notice no difference between the gen 4 and gen 5.

It absolutely amazes me that someone would purchase new gen 4s and turn around and sell months later because a new model came out.

What magic will be obtained from switching?

I’ve been using the same iPhone since 2013. Still works great. Never understood the new phone every 2 years thing.....

I like getting my money’s worth out of purchases. If it was designed for years of service, just be content with what you have because there will always be a “new” one around the corner.

Been running Hydras for 6 years strong, work great!

What’s interesting is that the SPS AB+ spectrum is identical from G4 or G5 blue- they haven’t modified that fantastic program. Sure, you can run it on a higher intensity using G5 blue, but most people aren’t even maxing their G4’s. There would be no growth or coloration changes going from G4 pro to G5, and the spread is already accomplished using diffusers.

I guess we can watch and see if the large companies like TSA, WWC, etc end up upgrading. Though they do get them for cheaper, I’m sure.

Not long after gyre pumps came out MP40's dropped in price almost 25%. So it's not that crazy of an idea. I just replaced a 2010 AI sol blue with a Kessil 360x for the shimmer (over a xr15), but if a full radion was a few bucks more I would've done that.
And the LFS with pumps in stock weren't happy.

That was due to competitive pressure, not self deprecation....

... for a 120in long tank your going to need way more than 3 xr15 and 4-t5's. Especially with sps...

Giesemann Spectra with attached Reefbrite leds

Nice lights. Do you have a picture of how you attached the Reeftbrites? I have the Geissemann Infinity and want to do something similar.

I had a giesmann infiniti and added Orphek led bars, I just modified the bracket that came with the Orphek and used the outer screws on the infiniti to attach it
