If Ecotech can make a better light than Gen 4 at a lower cost, they will own the LED race IMO. Big fans of Radions myself like many others . Just not a fan of their pricing.

I think the price of the older Radions should drop once these appear as well. It’s a win for everyone when a good product is released.

Why on earth would anyone think that there new light is going to be cheaper? Seriously folks, why would you think that? I could here the conversation in a meeting now.

"hey Gerrald, I have been thinking, we should make our new light cheaper and better than our existing line of product"

"hmmm, steve has a point, If we release the gen 5 at a lower price point we can effectively kill our other product lines and just eat our tooling and inventory costs on the Gen4"

"right! that's what I am thinking...AND we can screw all the retailers who have Gen 4's on the shelf because there is no incentive to buy them".

Not long after gyre pumps came out MP40's dropped in price almost 25%. So it's not that crazy of an idea. I just replaced a 2010 AI sol blue with a Kessil 360x for the shimmer (over a xr15), but if a full radion was a few bucks more I would've done that.
And the LFS with pumps in stock weren't happy.

Yup selling my g4 pros and getting these for sure. Say what you want I am excited about these. Sure I will lose some cash on my 3 month old g4 pros but someone here will put them to good use at a great price, which will help me get the g5s and we will both win!

They look and sound really great, I dont see the price being lower than what the g4 pros are but we shall see ;)

Radios Gen 5 to be realeased 2/17/20

Ration Gen 5s will be released on 2/17. Completely new form factor 11.7” by 7”. New heat sink design that feels more like AI than previous Radions. No more pucks, the new Radion gen 5 is more like a Chinese black box in terms of led layout to provide more even coverage. Power has been increased...

I am going to wait on the gen 5 and purchase two or three more gen 4 pro’s. Problem is used gen 4 pro’s are over priced.

If anyone has 2 XR30 gen 4 pro’s hit me up in messenger.

whats the better choice for mixed reef g5 pro or g5 blue hard to justify new lights when i just got g4 pro x 5 less than 6 months ago

Realistically, if they would add more leds and spread them out like the black boxes, I would drop the T5's.
