Hello everyone, i was wondering if i should go with one ecotech radion led XR30 or two reefbreeders photon 24 units. This would be for a 93 gallon cube with the dimensions of 30x30x24. Is the program abilty of the ecotech easy? The reefbreeders seem really easy to control and program. Thanks! :laser:

For sure the xr30pro, And yes there very easy to program a buddy of mine is fixing to put one on his 93 cube to, I have one on my 36x24x18 and it's amazing! Not to mention the build quality and best customer service around.

Another awesome thing about ecotech is the reeflink which makes it even easier to control the radions and away from home to, the hydra 52 would be my second choice I would look into that one to.

I'm a fan of the Radions, but if it's two vs. one that makes the choice a little harder because I'd want better light spread. How about one radion for now with the intention of getting another in the future?

Cool. I read an article on the internet about the ecotech havin too much green and yellow light. Is this true?

Haha if I go radion it will only be one for a long time. :) that's why I'm not sure on what to do

Not really because your in control of the colors lol, Personally radion and hydra 52 are the only leds I would ever consider getting again.

No need for 2 because one Radion will cover it really well, More then enough, Could also put the wide angle lenses on if he wanted to but those aren't even needed.

Sry but another thing I forgot to mention is the upgrade ability when new fixtures come out, that's always nice.

how do i hang a radion?

I hung mine with the hanging kit from the ceiling, Another nice way is with the aqua illumination mounting bars it's looks real nice and that's how my buddy is hanging his, I wasn't able to because of my external overflow, His name is SloppyJ on here btw if you wanna check out his build so far.

ok i will. do you think the radions are slightly overpriced? compared to other leds they seem like a lot. The only reason im considering them is that i would only need one. What about the Al leds?

seems like there is a lot of really good and bad reviews about radion. might go reefbreeders.

The radion pros are amazing Iv seen what they can do and it won me over because I was a huge halide fan lol, The Gen 1s and Gen 2s got more bad reviews because the lack of spectrum but even then they were still the best leds on the market, if you go radion def gotta go pro,Ai makes very good products and also have good customer service, People compare the new hydra 52 with the radion pros so you know they gotta be good to but there kind expensive to, I personally have never tried the reefbreeders, evergrows and reef radiance fixtures and Iv heard from friends some good and some bad reviews on them,But if money isn't a worry and your choices are Radion vs those then you gotta go Radion lol imo.

Ecotech customer service is just amazing and that's huge imo, Every time i had a problem with my Vortech Pumps they would overnight me replacement parts without question, So I know if something ever happened to my light I won't have to wait a week or two to receive replacement, oh and btw Sanjay now uses radion pros.. enough said right? Lol;)
