I saw one of these in my LFS today and loved it right away. I quick looked em up on live aquaria and I see they're semi aggressive and with caution for a reef. Does anyone have one of these? And if you do, how's it doing in your reef?

Thanks!

angelfish are always going to be a hit or miss in a full reef tank. If kept well fed then they are least likely to go after your corals which is what I have noticed in my reef tank with other similar small angels.

That's what I've been hearing. I do feed heavily bc I have 3 tangs and 2 small triggers. They love that meat lol

If you like the look, but dont want the risk, there is a tang that mimics them as a juvenile.

Eiblis are supposed to be one of the more reef-safe dwarf angels, but know that if one of these guys decides to start eating coral they can decimate a colony or two overnight.

I've experienced it before! Lol they're quick, I had a Koran angel that a friend didn't want anymore and he was only in my tank for 3 days. Biggest mistake ever Lol I know I shouldn't have had him but hey you live and learn

I was going to get an Eibli from my LFS but the first one I put on hold died and then the second one they got in for me wouldn't eat when I went to pick it up so I gave up on that fish

The one at my LFS is already a decent size and looks fat and healthy. I'm gonna go back tomorrow and see if he's still there then make an executive decision :)

Have one for over a year. Never seen it bother my coral. Absolutely beautiful fish. Fought a bit with my flame angel in the beginning, but they're great together

I have mine 3 1/2 years now....beautiful fish (my nephew's favorite) I bought him when it was a FOWLR in my 75 gallon and slowly introduced corals starting with softies when I first started learning how to reef. I then moved up to LPS and zoas and moved the tank into a 125 6 months ago and started adding SPS. He will nip at my LPS but doesn't do any damage. One thing I can tell you about mine....I introduced a powder brown when it was a FOWLR and they did not get along, stressed him out and he went to fish heaven.....intorduced a powder blue in my 125 and it was worse....he went to fish heaven too....added a yellow tang, no problem My Pyramid butterfly photobombed :)

Thanks for sharing your experience! This would be the last "big guy" to go into the tank for sure so I think(or I hope) there wouldn't be any bickering
