Elegance Coral pics going into the weekend!

The tentacles had him in a chokehold, he wasn't in the mouth yet so I pulled him away. The star had marks on him from the sting.
Awesome. It’s watching those kinds of things that are some of best parts of the hobby. Only a few humans have ever experienced watching an elegance coral attempt to eat a serpent star live, and you are one of them. Fantastic experience!

Awesome pictures! How long did it take to consume the whole worm?
It actually took a whole day, almost 24 hours. The next day he burped a ton of waste; the part of the worm that were indigestible.

My baby elegance surrounded by Dinos and snail corpses. It sure loves to eat snails!

Pick this guy up a week ago and has been doing great. Have him in the far right corner of the tank with lower lighting and flow. Seems not to like flow at all which is tough in my setup. Soon as I put him in a low flow it got larger than the tank it came from. What is everybody’s experience on flow for these guys?

Mine enjoys flow. My reef has some pretty high flow so it really doesn’t have a choice ;) Beautiful elegance you have there!

As soon as I hit him with any flow it goes to half the size, I guess that’s where he stays

Perhaps indirect flow may help. It may just be acclimating to your reef a bit.
