Hey there! Looks good, the reason you hear “keep elegance away from rocks” is so as not to scratch their delicate tissue. As with LPS if their tissue gets damaged they can develop bacterial infection and retract/ die. You have it placed correctly. I have two elegance, one in my peninsula and one in my lagoon. Both are places near the sand bed (one in the sand bed) and out of direct light. Each has thrived for over a year. I spot feed maybe twice a week with Rods or reef roids. In my experience they are extremely hardy and as long as your parameters are good (read decent), they should thrive! My clowns hosted mine in my peninsula!
