EllisJuan's Deep Blue 30g Shallow Reef

Is that a custom sump or off the shelf? Dimensions? I'm looking for a small sump/refugium for my 30.

Cycle completed...a little over three weeks. I just finished a large (~50%) water change. I am going to move a few "Test" (ie; less expensive) pieces over to my tank tonight and see how the look over the next few days. I will also start doing some fish shopping this week.

Awesome build. I look forward to following along and seeing it become a SPS paradise!

We'll see how these guys do over the next few days....

I can hold some stuff if you need me to! [emoji1]

Thank! I got most of my sps moved over last night and glued down. I also have a Randall's Goby, High Fin Goby, and Pistol Shrimp coming into my LFS sometime in the next week or so. I still have a couple Acans, a Rainbow Monti, and a couple other odds and ends to get moved over.

I like the progress so far.
Let's see some more pictures!
I'm following along.
I have the same tank as a frag tank next to my display tank.

Thanks! I snapped this one the other night. Everything is still a little ticked off from being pried off their plugs and relocated, but maybe I can snap a FTS tonight.

I took this FTS tonight.

A list of the SPS starting from the front left and working back and around the "horseshoe"...

ASD Homegrown Rainbow Birdsnest
ORA Birds of Paradise
Steve Elias Stag
CC Oakland A Paniculata
Tyree Blue Matrix
CC Aussie Candlelight
ORA Joe the Coral
CC Needle in a Haystack
ASD Special Glow in the Dark Monti
CC Purple Tip Tort
CC Royale Pocillopora

There is also the large birdsnest in the middle and a few Acans on the outsides.

That looks excellent.

Here are a few closer shots of some of the pieces. Please keep in mind that A) I am not a great photographer and it is hard to capture the actual colors. I take these more to document growth than as "glamour shots"...and B) these were all just relocated after being on a rack for a while and need to be colored up a good bit.

very cool man. are you doing anything to make sure the water doesnt become too clean?
Not as of yet. I am kind of taking a wait and see approach. These have been on a rack in a VERY low nutrient system for a while.

Any suggestion on what to look for and how to controllably dirty the water?

im no expert but i believe paling of colors can be an indication of too low nutrients. Ive been feeding my fish 3-5 times a day to increase nutrients and after 3 weeks, i still have no nitrates and .05 phos. i also have chaeto in the sump so that may be where my nitrates went.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for it.
