Elos 70 upgrade

Just be careful that a skimmer overflow doesn't make it outside the sump!

It's ridiculous and I love it. Sadly it looks like all my gate valves I ordered on amazon are going to be a week late, I was hoping to be up and running this weekend but it looks like that's not going to happen.

Nice, i'm setting up an elos 70 too here shortly.

Did you not have the stock sump with it? i think to start i'm going to stick with the stock sump but may go towards something similar to yours eventually.

I had the stock sump but I really wasn't a fan off it, I wanted to have a proper fuge in this tank.

Major progress this weekend.

Things left to do:
Electrical
FILL IT WITH WATER!

Great start! I'm glad my old tank lives on (latest pics confirm). I look forward to following your progress.

Thats awesome. How long ago did you have it? I bought it from a local guy in the Sacramento area, tank is near flawless, not a single scratch on the glass.

..well not exactly flawless. You have the chip and I think there is one small light scratch.

I purchased tank in 2008 and sold it in early 2014.

Eh, the chip is superficial to me for how nice the tank is, and I think the only scratch is in the upper right somewhere. Either way, it's leaps and bounds over my scratched to **** biocube.

Tank was obviously well cared for to be in such good condition so many years later.

Electrical looks like **** but SHES ALIVE!

Just wanted to get my cycle going, will figure out all the Apex and whatnot later!

Had a few small leaks here and there but hopefully were straight now.

Might have had a bottle or two while waiting for RODI water.

Thinking of doing more sps in this tank, picked these guys up from a local with some nice stuff:

Going to try and find the time this week to build the book shelf that will be going next to the tank that will double as ATO storage and wiring area.

90% of the biocube has been moved over, here is what's left of the once great biocube.

I placed what I wanted on to the rock work and fragged lots of stuff, I ended up running out of plugs so the light is still on the tank till everything else is moved out.

Minor hair algae after the cycle, but everything is happy as can be, I plan on taking some better pictures after the other light goes on and I spread things out a bit.

Took about a week, but the skimmer finally broke in after its deep deep cleaning I gave it.

My daughter making sure "her fish" are happy in their new home.

Things are doing great, I moved all the livestock over from my biocube and ended up with TONS of frags, happily getting some money back from local groups that are buying everything up.

Hate having the DIY temp frag racks in the tank, but had to put it somewhere!
