Elos 70 upgrade

Looks great!
And nice job on that drywall. That is no small feat. :)

as i look at yours compared to mine, your water level is probably 1.5 inches lower, mine is even or a little above the elos etch on the right side. what return pump are you using?

Your rock work looks amazing.
Did you just stack it or did you glue it with epoxy or something like this?

I'm using a ehime 1260 that'd dialed back a bit, not sure exactly where the water line is supposed to be at, but i'm happy where it is and have plenty of water flowing through the sump.

I used the Emarco cement kit to build and fuse the rock together, used a little over what the 5lb kit offers. To give you an idea how strong the stuff is I was able to pick the rock up at any point and shake it and it held firm, each rock has to weigh close to 30-35 lbs.

Having a bit of an algae bloom since adding the 2nd radion onto the tank, I don't have much in the way of a cleaning crew so i'm thinking of ordering a snail pack from reefcleaners to chew through it all.

I picked up the blue star but am now having doubts if I will be able to support it after reading how hard they are to keep, stupid impulse buys.

Whittled down the frag rack I had and make a nice chunk of change this weekend. Glued a good bit of the sps frags I had down onto the rocks, and just as I thought I could take the rack out my local buddies dumped a bunch more frags on me!

Also finally took a bunch of chalices that a friend had been holding for me for months, he was starting to get upset with me having his entire sandbed in his tank covered in chalices.

Hopefully she will be in a better state when I post next.

Blooms clearing up, pretty much filled up when it comes to frags, going to just set the tank into autopilot at this point and just let it fill in.

Looking good, i'll get a pic of mine one of these days, cycle is done just need to clear up some algae.

Well with good comes bad.

Good things going on right now:
Sps growth and color really taking off
Coraline everywhere
Algae all but gone

Bad:
Ich outbreak introduced by the yellow tang I picked up, my fault for not QTing
When I went to pull all my fish to put in the QT I didn't notice my lubbocs wrasse jumped out and behind the tank, RIP
I crushed my poor little yellow line goby with a rock =(, RIP

All fish are in my Biocube for the next 72 some odd days in hypo treatment, I picked up another lubbocs wrasse and a tail spot blenny and threw them in the QT, might as well do everyone at once.

Some pictures

Before pulling everyone out

10 minutes after pulling all my rockwork out and putting it back in, having my rocks cemented together is absolutely amazing, before when I even touched a rock in the old tank and it shifted I could never get it to look right again.

what are you running the lights at? and how deep is the tank and how high are they from the water

Did a deep cleaning, still fishless due to ich, QT didn't go too well, all that made it so far are the tang (go figure) and one black clownfish.
