Hi everybody i have a 90 gallon tank 48 inches long and its many years old. all of a sudden it started to come apart at the seams water was leaking and i had to lower the water line to stop leak. I need a new tank stand stand and sump as soon as possible can any vendors in manhattan or close by please help?

I have the power heads going to keep fish and coral alive.

Best bet will be local places. Lots of fish stores keep 90 gallons I'm stock.

I would get some silicone and seal it! Most LFS should have some! Let it dry for 24 hours and keep going. If there’s structural damage I’d get a new one but if water is leaking where the sealant is that would be the issue. One suggestion is to get 5 gallon buckets, fill with ur tank water get a couple heaters and do that while u redo the whole tank silicone.

GOODLUCK!!! Keep us posted when u sort things out!!!

the side of the tank is leaking on the right front side again I lowered the water some more below the leak but i don't trust it. i have 2 ten gallon buckets filled with salt water on stand by. But I don't think silicone will help this 10 year old elos tank. I don't trust it with just silicone. So i am looking to buy a new tank. I just hope they have a 90 gallon red sea or what ever water volume that is 48 inches in stock and can deliver quickly.

Lots of things are on back order in this hobby right now. Have you checked local places? Craigslist? The for sale forums on this site?

I will start calling all local places tomorrow. looking for brand new equipment. I thought posting on this site that a vendor close by or in city would contact me for a sale and help me with moving old tank and stand out.

There's a sub forum on here for selling drygoods and another for vendors. I would search for your area in there. Better luck than this section.

You can buy a stock tank and move all livestock into it until you can find a display tank. It sounds like the leak is progressing. I won't even judge you if you clean it out well afterwards and return the stock tank to the store :p

You can buy 50 gallon brute garbage cans from Home Depot cost about 45$ each and then return them for your money back after you are done with them. I did this fish stayed happy in one all my live rock in a second and corals in third and then I got my money back for them. At time had large apex setup so had 3 temp probes and heaters and power heads so each brute can got one

Make sure you remember to mark a line at your water level so you can top off easily daily and don’t forget to top off cause we all so usta having auto top off

Even smaller tanks at petco? Cram what you can in a cheap 40 breeder with a HoB filter.

wish i was in the city today and could actually help. I agree with jekyl might as well just transfer to a 40 for a month or 2 with hob filter then just put everything back online when the new tank comes in

I know places on the island have 90 gallon drilled tanks if you are in a rush, might be harder to specifically find a red sea one but could probably be done

And why will you not listen to us and go get some garbage cans from Home Depot or tanks for petco?

instead of a garbage can the tank is half full with power heads. the coral are not looking good but the fish are fine. at this point i don't think i want to invest thousands of dollars on a new tank and stand so I would rather give some equipment and coral away to anyone who wants to come pick them up. I have a nice acrylic sump a reef octopus xp 2000 skimmer and 2 ehiem pumps.
