I understand. I've had my tanks bottom out on phosphates and I have to dose daily. I'd rather front load the rock and not have to deal with 0 phosphates.As long as you know the implications of what you’re doing and what will happen once you start using the rock, then go for it. There’s an argument to be made for that strategy if you’re setting up a tank where you’ll want to boost phosphates. Just gotta be worried about potential hair algae on the rock.
