Thanks for the response. Another question once the cycle will adding live rock affect the parameters? It is enough to get going. General rule of thumb as understand is 1-2 lbs of live or dry reef rock per gallon.
Probably how you’re reading. Usually it goes down via evaporation but I lose a few inches of water in the sump per day and it only fluctuates by 0.001I have noticed my salinity fluctuates between 1.025 and 1.026 is that normal for cycling? I added bio spira yesterday.
No as long as you’re not adding live rock that has been left out and things in it start to die. Usually a 30 min trip from lfs to home isn’t enough to spark die off. Dry is totally fineThanks for the response. Another question once the cycle will adding live rock affect the parameters?
Thanks for the response! I’m using a refractometer I’ll recalibrate it to make sure.Probably how you’re reading. Usually it goes down via evaporation but I lose a few inches of water in the sump per day and it only fluctuates by 0.001
Sounds good. After a few years, I ended up getting a Milwaukee auto and I absolutely love it. I’ll never go backThanks for the response! I’m using a refractometer I’ll recalibrate it to make sure.

awesome! Is there a recommended salinity for fowlr?Sounds good. After a few years, I ended up getting a Milwaukee auto and I absolutely love it. I’ll never go back
I don’t know about fowlr, never had oneThanks for the response! I’m using a refractometer I’ll recalibrate it to make sure

Any coral that don’t require much lighting? The light is stock. Thanks for the responseit's plenty. Fill the tank with coral instead rock if a reef tank, and if fish only, it does not matter and is plenty for biological filtration.
Like mentioned earlier, that’s enough to get the tank going, should have at least 29lbs but I would do between 50-60lbs.29 gallon fowlr still cycling. I’m not sure if this is enough live rock?![]()

You can replace the light if needed. I would order at a nano package of real live rock to give your tank a boost. Your tank and you’ll love it in the long run.
It’s best to put the test vile on the white part of booklet for easiest matching![]()

Thanks for the response! The 29 gallon has been running since Tuesday night. I added bio spira yesterday. Any one use bio spira before? Do these parameters indicate that the cycling process has started?
Also get some some better tests, those api tests are not very accurate. Even with fowlr you’d want to get powerhead or 2 as fish like flow and you’ll have less headaches. Is this your first tank?![]()
