Haha its always a time for a bigger tank! Tonight after the lights are off check its sweeper tentacles to make sure it's not stinging any other corals.
Help! Yesterday he was perfect and bigger than I have ever seen him today his mouth is open??? Is this bad? Just checked the parameters and all is fine!
Sometimes mine will open its mouth and deflate most of its bubbles what I was told is its kinda doing a water change basically. It does it ever now and then for the past year. So I don't think you have anything to worry about, try to check back with it a little later to see if it closes it's mouth.
Alright let's see here, what size is your tank, how long has it been running, what kind of lighting do you have and finaly what all do you have in it? Sorry for the barrage of questions haha.
I have a 30 gallon nano tank.
I started it in early February.
I started with live sand, black Hawaiian, and live rock- about 30 lbs each.unfortunately, I had quite a few disappearances early on in my tank. Fish that went missing, I don't amazed that went missing – none of which ever spiking any levels. Nobodies no success… Nothing. I have no idea what was happening. Now I have one little clown fish who seems to be hanging in there but I am worried about him being lonely-
My zoas are awesome, but I hear it is hard to kill those anyway – here's a picture of my tank
Oh yeah – and the lighting is by "current". It is a "full spectrum orbit marine pro". I'm not sure I am super happy with this – it does not seem to distribute the light evenly throughout the tank, I might hang it instead of setting on the tank.
That's a great looking tank! Sorry to hear about the fish going missing but it's happened to me too. As for the zoas they are very hardy but I've killed them too haha. Glad you did your research and are seeking advice it will help you have much more success in the future!
For the lights I actually almost bought one of those for my 265 but actually went with a cheaper Chinese led and actually have had better growth than my expensive reef radiance lights lol.
Haha I've always watched mine way too much. When I was deployed I would call my girlfriend ( now fiance) and the first thing I asked was about the tank haha
