I have the red sea reefer 300 xl, a 65g tank, with a 15g sump. My equipment for the sump is a Octo Elite 150 INT skimmer, a 2100gph dc pump, phosban phosphate reactor, and a micra plus 158gph multifunctional pump. Where do i put these in my sump? Here is a picture of my sump

Hi there

i have the 425xl which has a slightly different layout but is basically pretty similar.

If I were you I would use the front right compartment for any refugium stuff you plan to run and possibly your pump for the reactor. your skimmer in the rear right compartment and your return pump goes in the rear left.

Have you decided where/how you plan to use your reactor? you'll presumably want to mount it somewhere on a wall or something?
Have you considered making a manifold?

I have the Red Sea Reefer 350. On your picture going counter-clockwise, the first chamber is my drain line, filter socks, a bag of carbon, the second chamber is the refugium, the third chamber is a skimmer and pump for a reactor, the fourth chamber is my return pump.

Patience, people work.

thanks! The return pump is the 2100 gph pump right?

also guys, do i connect my skimmer to any pipes or something, or do i put any pipes in the top right corner? Also how would i attatch the 2100 gph pump, and the smaller pump, thats for the reactor correct?

You should have an instruction manual for the skimmer. It doesn't connect to anything. It's a whole unit. If that makes sense?

it comes with instructions to build it, which my lfs did when i bought it, and with all the parts it should have. It doesnt say it connects to anything though...

it doesn't . It's just plug and play. When the sump has water in it of course.
Should look this picture. Place it into the chamber it fits into.

any pipes that should go into the chamber? How will the clean water it generates go into the tank if its in a chamber with no pipe in it that leads to the tank?

the illustration above i agreeable. For skimmer, place where it is not going to create micro-bubbles that reach return pump. Place skimmer where water level in sump is at 6-8" and simply plug in and adjust to lowest setting and gradually bring it up until it is creating a light foam - not a bunch of bubbles

ok thanks! are there any pipes that should go into the chamber the skimmer's in? The chamber you all keep recommending for me to put the skimmer in doesnt have any pipes that lead into the tank.
