its running, but it is so loud!Hope you get it all working
I'll be happy to see it running.

i built itAnyhow, who set up your aquarium plumbing? They should have answers to this.
I see a valve on the pipes. But I don't know if its on the main drain.
R = Return ED = emergency drain - MD= main drain. Need to raise the water level so your overflow doesn't sound like a toilet. The valve needs to be installed on the main drain pipe. I can't tell where things are installed sorry.

Return is area#1where do i put my return pumps?
Do you know where the gate valve is?i built it
no, i dont think it came with oneDo you know where the gate valve is?
Nope. Look at the image in post #6. See that comb filter? That's how the water flows from the filtration chamber to the rear chamber, and from there it flows to the chamber with your return pump. The skimmer is designed to sit there and continually skim. This means that yes, some water will actually bypass the skimmer and be pumped back to the tank. Eventually everything gets skimmed to some extent, though.ok thanks! are there any pipes that should go into the chamber the skimmer's in? The chamber you all keep recommending for me to put the skimmer in doesnt have any pipes that lead into the tank.
