Should I rinse the dry rock? If so, should I use tap water, tap water with Prime, or RO? @Scratch08, do I remember something about you power washing it or something?

also be careful when adding water to not stir up sand as little as possible,then when settles wave off glass with hand,particles will scratch glass if wiped

Agree with all that. If you got a plastic container set that in the bottom and pour you water into that. Makes less mess

Distilled should be fine unless you have extra rodi.
