I’ve pretty much had it from practically the beginning , going on 3 years now. This is my oldest . I’ve had it since late 2021

Heyo. I broadcast feed frozen to the whole tank and use AB+. I have several varieties of powdered foods but haven’t used them in a while. Honestly the best thing for them is decent flow and lighting that isn’t too strong.

I never fed my Gonis and mine did amazing for a while. I wonder if iron is beneficial because once I got rid of my rusty magnet is when they stopped really growing.

Just wondering if you've kept one, if so what did you feed it? I've heard amino acid supplements make them much easier.

So …. I have plenty and so does @steveschuerger …. He has had his longer than me. I feed mine gonipower every couple of weeks. I dose heavy manganese (lower dosing before my collection exploded). Does it make a difference…honestly don’t know. Prior to putting it on a dosing pump I could tell if I missed a dose. This could all be in my head. But manganese is used by all the corals in the tank. I’m currently using Aqua Forest Lab Components to maintain all the other stuff. Fun fact I don’t do water changes. I also feed all my corals. My Dkh is 8.5-9, mag 1500, calcium 450. I fight to keep NO3 and PO4 up….

I usually dose phyto from Reef Nutrition- but I’ve been lazy and haven’t gone to pick more up. I think all the stuff in my tank is happier when I do…so I’ll do that this week.

Either the Gonis will like your tank or they won’t. Try an alveopora first maybe?

Question: I am reviewing the IM Lagoon 25, but am concerned by the height of only 11.8". I guess in my mind i wish it was a little deeper. Otherwise the footprint is awesome. I keep looking at the FIJI 32 which is very close in footprint, but added height of 15+". What are your thoughts? I want to use an existing stand of 31 x 20.5"

The 11 inch height was a big plus for me, I love the shallow top down view. Fish don't need much vertical space, mainly horizontal so the 23 inch width is perfect for 5-6 fish.

Big update today since its been awhile since I posted.
Both crabs are gone! Ruby mithrax immediately picked on my corals, a few days later Frank (emerald mithrax crab), decided to eat one of my mushrooms and my Goniapora over night, it's not dead but it's still recovering(pics below).
If I ever buy mithrax crabs again I'll make sure they are females, because they are reportedly less aggressive.
Corals are doing great!
Goniapora is doing great and has recovered from frank's harassment
All the other corals are doing great as well, even the mushroom that frank attacked. (Pics below)
Finally a livestock update!
I got to cerith snails on Sunday they are incredible they are like trochus and nassarius snails combined, don't have any pics right now since they're under the sand.
The feather dusters are doing great and have grown 10x the size they were when I found them. They even propagated I keep finding little ones all across the tank, even right up against the glass! (Pics below) I also got a really cool red feather duster as a hitchhiker from sbb corals (pics below)

Finally figured out water changes today. Marked 10% on the tank. And accidentally blasted the sand bed… and the feather dusters, they’re fine though, this wasn’t the first time.

Like this idea instead of guessing and turning on the tank and wait to hear if the ato kicks on or not lol.

Behold the ugly stage update:
The good: The corals are doing well!
Blastomussa looks great, dipastrea is crawling along, riccordea yuma have doubled in size, rhodactis are growing too. Pics below.
The bad: The battle with bryopsis has begun. This stuff is the devil I hope I can kill it quick. I ordered some fluconoze it gets here tomorrow. Diatoms have bloomed again, but are also dying back again hopefully they stay away. I have some unidentified algae growing on my goniapora, still figuring out what is and what to do about it.

I'm so glad I caught this bryopsis before it did any damage, how are you faring with dinos?
