The new wetsides available are a lot better IMO, after I upgraded to them they are much more quiet and better overall design.

I did the QD upgrade a couple of months ago and the wetside upgrade last week and the difference in flow is very noticeable, my old MP40 is dead quite now.

You upgraded the dry side and driver? My understanding is that just upgrading the Driver does not increase the flow maximum.

What increases the water flow is the wet side, due to the propeller design. The electronics on the QD reduces motor vibration to some point but when you add the new wet side it makes the old dry side dead quite. The shaft of the propeller is similar to the one on the MP10 and MP60, it has two points of contact instead of one. I noticed the difference on the way the MP40 bent the Grube's gorgonian on the left side of my tank (the one on my profile picture)
