Exact iDip Digital Water Testing

Little update found out why I can not get a mag reading they are not able to read the levels for our tanks yet they only read as hi as 1000ppm when it comes to mag and we keep ours over that but he did tell me that they will be updating that.

One way around that now is to dilute the tank water with RO/DI. 1:1.

Then it will come into range. :)

FWIW, I was responding to this comment that it could read 1000 ppm and so a factor of two dilution will bring magnesium into range.

This 1000 ppm must be for something other than the THH test, and may have different units of measure than pm magnesium (the THH test does have different units).

I was trying to see if I could get past a low range limit versus dilution which would help bypass a high range limit.

Ah. OK. In general that doesn't work with test strips, or with most kits.

You are doing that now with some Red Sea kit? Which one, and do you know for sure it works properly?

No, i only used the dillution example thats documented on the Red Sea nitrate kit as an example. Its all clear now.

sounds like this has a lot of potential and I am watching closely but will wait for things to be ironed out before committing. Hopefully by xmas it will be ready and santa will bring it for me.

If logging is all you wanted then you could log parameters on apex fusion if you have an apex or there's a few really good apps that you can use for logging.

This product sounds really exciting, but I'm going to wait until all of the results are in. In the meantime, what apps work well for logging? Thank-you!

Just got mine today. Going to test it out this weekend. Sort of sucks you have to buy the tests individually. Even though they include the testing strips in the kit.

Its a one time fee. I just incorporated it into my overall investment when you think about it. Since all the updates we are waiting for are going to be in software its kinda worth it and in the end its only another $25
