Exclusive! Reef safe ich medication that ACTUALLY works?

M

i actually use it. I have a DT full of corals. I was dealing with ick. I can tell u, dots were removed within minutes. Fish began eating instead of hiding within few hours of dosing. The corals were okay. There was a select few who closed as soon as I dosed but after a few minutes they returned to their normal state. This stuff is a GAME CHANGER. If I have to use it again, hopefully not, I will document it. I kid you not, ick dots were gone within minutes. No crap
All that means is it caused the trophonts to drop off the fish. Doesn't mean it kills ich at any stage in its life cycle.

and it did exactly what the bottle said; protect the fish without destroying the coral or killing snails. It doesn’t say it kills it. If you can keep your fish protected and healthy, let the parasite take its course without having to take out rock, catch fish, stir up more bacteria trying to catch them; stress fish out. Everyone’s alive and well. Coral are great. I’ve had to deal with velvet before and this protects against it. Definite game changer. I have a 40g breeder. I did 4mL every 12 hours. Ick is in all our tanks, in the ocean as well but in small portions. It’s like a cold. We get colds but not all the time. We carry it but something has to trigger it. So it’s never really going to just DIE. I’ve seen people do the 8 week method and weeks later, not add a single thing and still get it. It’s always going to exist. Stress can even trigger ick. It doesn’t even have to be an infected fish. As long as you can protect your fish which this stuff definitely has done, you’re good. I highly recommend this stuff.

This is patently false.

I'm glad the product worked for you but it's still seems to be snake oil.

Incorrect both for ich and for the cold. The cold is an infection by a biohazard, normal people don't just carry it all the time, they aren't triggered, they are infected. You can go sleep outside in the cold in wet clothes and almost freeze to death, and you'll get many things, but not the cold. You'll get the cold from being close to infected people, from being locked inside with other people for longer in the winter than in the summer, with less air exchange. There the chance is higher that you come in contact with an infected person. Fish get ich from being close to infected fish and the ich life cycle, from locked inside their small tank compared to being in the ocean, with less water exchange.

The cold really can die. And so can ich. It's genetic material that can be exterminated, not magic.

The people you saw do the 8 week method, did they do that for every fish, every coral, every snail, every crab, every rock, every piece of plastic, etc. ?

What about the hippo tang? Having ick all the time. Because they are super stressed out fish. So you mean you want to catch a fish that’s already stressed out, move it to another tank causing it even more stress. Put it in freshwater to stress it out once again. More stress = weak immune system. I’ll take my chances with Mardel. It’s game changer. Not a single fish lost, happy corals and happy inverts. Happy fish = healthy fish. Stress is a killer, in people too. Even the green chromis didn’t outbreak. As long as you protect their slime coat, ick won’t stage a chance on them. And that’s what this medication says it’s does. So instead of people blasting them for what they’re claiming, maybe try it. I gave it a chance and I can tell you, I’ll never go through the headache of removing everything in a tank again. I didn’t have to with Mardel.

If it doesn't effect inverts it's highly unlikely to effect ich. Just because they "fell of" does not mean they all died and the parasites are eradicated.

Polylab medic has the same results but does NOT irradiate the parasites.

The ich parasites are to small to be seen with the eye. Instead you are seeing white spots caused by mucous built up on the hole that the parasites make burrowing into the fish.

I had a thought. Don't laugh.

Let's pretend that a product exists that will effectively protect fish from these parasites. Assuming it's 100% effective while it's in the water, would this not lead to the eradication of ich after 6 weeks or so?

For a med free zone like the UK, such a product would be most welcome. I guess we can dream...

Yes. Peroxide may be that product.

But proper qt in hypo for fish and fish less for inverts is the simplest way.

9 years later and no real usage from the masses.....
Not sure what your definition of "masses" is...

But there are over 160 verified purchaser reviews on Amazon - with 80% of them giving it a 4 or 5 star rating...

So...?

I don't know why I have to keep repeating myself. If you read the bottle, nowhere does it say it kills the ich. I never said once that it kills it. It prevents and protects and it's done exactly that. I didn't lose any fish or coral or inverts. You can also use it for freshwater which is great. I didn't have to break down my tank which I will never do again because all it does is keep a fish in complete stress state of mind, declining their immune system. I've lost fish doing it the other way. This is the first time I haven't lost a single thing. I finished treatment and everything's back to normal. 6 treatments was all I had to do, twice a day (every 12 hours) - every other day - 4mL. Its been a while now and no outbreaks or anything. The bottle is true in its words. This is a definite game changer. I have cichlids and I use to breed guppies so I've had a lot of experience with ich. This is the first time I've had this kind of success without doing a single thing but dose the tank. HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY, recommend their product. If we never try new things, we will never progress in this hobby. I took a chance and best thing I ever did!

My definition of masses is a large group of experienced users.

160 Amazon buyers, how many are reef keepers? How many freshwater keepers? How many are paid reviews?

There's over 1million members on here. 1-2 people claiming to have used it. That is not masses by any definition.

Can you show a link to a single credible reefer who has used it? Had documented results? Long term results?

Your defending the product as if it was your company and acting like I attacked you personally, sorry but I did not.

Put some black mollies in the tank. Those will show you if the ich is still in there. And just to be clear freshwater ich and marine ich are not the same parasites....

Rather reminds me of all of the "pros" in this hobby who not so long ago were calling the bacteria in a bottle cycle starters "snake oil"... :p

Actually your post reminds me of Dr ari and his rtn/stn miracle cure lol!!!!

Well, I mean, at the very least...

If nothing else, it seems like it would be an effective first-step in a QT treatment...

Get the ich off of the fish as fast as possible... (one of the only two people in the thread who have supposedly tried it stated that the ich fell off her fish within a few minutes of dosing...)

And then do a copper or CP treatment...

Still really interested in the continuing research regarding hydrogen peroxide...
