Omg! I placed my order over 2 weeks ago and I have not had ANY contacts from them.i tried reaching out via email and left 2 voicemails but no one seems to be even interested in contacting me regarding my order!
That’s the way he runs his business. He’s very busy with orders. He had hired an office person to help, maybe she left. Call once in awhile maybe you’ll get lucky and a person will answer. If you paid with PayPal there’s always a recourse, contact them concerning no contact from seller.

You’ll be very happy once your order is done. Communication had gotten better over the past, maybe he lost an employee. Hard to say. In the end he has good intentions and he has a good heart.

Patience is a great thing when it comes to reefing. That applies here as well. They will get to you. Be prepared to wait if you order. Try to imagine a small business trying to service the whole US market and even abroad. Personally, I would rather them be working on building my top instead of answering emails. I waited two months before I got mine and that was last year. I am sure they are even busier now. The product was worth the wait.
It is not like there are a lot of people building these. I know one of them (skimz) that was building them on NanoReef and he had to stop, because he was overwhelmed with orders that he could not possibly process (in his part time business) through his facility. There is at least one other one, but I won't mention the name in Artfully Acrylic's thread. So, if you want an awesome top, you don't have a lot of choices.
These are almost all custom built to the customer's own specifications - not all of them being accurate. In each case, they need to do a detailed CAD drawing and then have to wait for the customer to approve it before they cut it. Sometimes it takes a change or two to get to where the customer will approve the drawing. It takes time to work each one through. Mine had to fit inside of perimeter euro-bracing and around two SeaSwirls. Can't buy that off the shelf.

Agreed.. but I should have at least been contacted on what customizations I require.. I put a note in the initial order, but it would be nice to know that my request was taken into consideration for my order!

What was the turn around time listed before you placed the order?
There was a 6 weeks turnaround when I placed mine and I received my top on the 7th week. I got contacted on the 5th week to confirm the dimensions of my tank and the overflow.
It is worth the wait.

I had ordered from Artfully Acrylic a few months ago for my reefer 250 and wound up cancelling due to the lack of communication and placing an order with Octoaquatics which has similar offerings. AA took a few weeks to even acknowledge my cancellation, but I did get my money back without issue.
Octo was very communicative and we worked out even different vertical spacing to accommodate my overflow cover and radions with minimal cutouts. He angled the feed area to prevent sagging mesh and it worked great...very tight. He took about a week longer than anticipated but overall a nice lid seen below

I’m all about a great product but if you’re that busy filling orders then you can afford to have someone taking care of customer service. There is no excuse for the lack of communication at all. If they can’t handle it then they should stop taking orders.
first off i was just trying to buy their pre-made top for a marineland 120 and just needed some simple answers from them. I never heard back. I also find it telling that they are not bothering to respond to this thread at all.
