Not sure how old this news is, but Elos of Dallas TX was caught selling fake Elos tanks. Just a heads up.

Article? Anything stating this in writing? Currently it's just hearsay.
Then check for yourself. My "friend" isn't simply a "friend". Secondly, it was a agaim, a simple heads up. If you spend 5 ( or more on something possibly fake, you wouldn't want to know?If you are going to make claims or post claims from friends then you should provide evidence of such. I don't think that is too much to ask.
Thanks for that. I could not find it on thier Facebook page. I also do not believe Elos in Tx knew it was a fake, but I believe that tank was one bought from them.Fake Elos tanks were, unfortunately, a legitimate problem. Elos (Italy) has a Facebook post on this:

I recently installed a custom Elos tank obtained through Sam Slobusky who directs Elos custom installs in the US with direct contact with Nicola Gandini of Elos. My conversations with Sam have confirmed that fake Elos tanks were being sold in the US. I have no proof who is directly responsible for this unethical practice. But, even more unfortunately, a reefer experienced a catastrophic failure of a fake Elos tank which is why this was brought to Elos's (Italy) attention.
It's not my responsibility to supply evidence when you make the claim of fake items. However, it is my responsibility to choose to reserve or make judgement until evidence is supplied to me. Which it has, unfortunately by someone else. I'm not arguing with you, and there is no need for you to be offended. Then check for yourself. My "friend" isn't simply a "friend". You were the one that said friend. Not I.The owner of the Elos store here in NJ is a friend of mine. He saw them as well.
Though the op did say 'friend', he also clearly stated that the 'friend' was the owner of Elos in NJ, a source that should be given a little more credence when dealing with Elos issues, and while not necessarily enough evidence for a court of law, was moe than enough evidence for a 'heads up".It's not my responsibility to supply evidence when you make the claim of fake items. And that's all I was doing. Not trying to bad mouth a store. As you stated, the owner if the Elos store here in NJ, is in fact a credible source, considering he fly's back and forth to Italy and also had to fly down to Texas to get visual confirmation and report it back to Elos oThough the op did say 'friend', he also clearly stated that the 'friend' was the owner of Elos in NJ, a source that should be given a little more credence when dealing with Elos issues, and while not necessarily enough evidence for a court of law, was moe than enough evidence for a 'heads up".
