FarmerTy's 215-gallon SPS Tank

Save me a frag of this next time you need to cut it!
I only fragged it for a trade that didn't go through. Its on my "no fragging" list. Gold torches are just way too sensitive to cut. 2 heads died trying to extract 3 heads... And this is with the clean cuts of a coral band saw. Not worth it. [emoji53]

But if a piece falls off randomly, you got it! [emoji16]

I hate corals that sensitive to cutting! Well if you ever have a head or 2 for any reason let me know!

I get back from Ireland tomorrow night....hoping my tank is all good after 9 days on autopilot!

Just doing a little maintenance work this weekend. Calibrate the alkatronic, swap out some media in various reactors, and cleaning the glass. Otherwise, I'm going to try to be hands off this weekend.

Got 3 frags from Adam at Battlecorals this week. These pics were taken 20 mins after I dipped and acclimated and put in my tank.

BC Honeycomb (Adam told me this one wasn't up to par after the move but I told him I wanted it anyways so excuse the lack of color)

Nice looking frags Ty. The Adam Bomb is a great piece. Mine is really looking good these days.
Awesome! I just saw bubbaque post his piece! I'm looking forward to this one growing out. Glad yours is looking great too!

I knew there was someone I meant to thank, high Potassium dip, I used "low salt" from the supermarket, 50% K, helped me through my aefw issue, that and Iodine are all I use now, thanks! :)
You got it bud! Glad it is keeping you pest free!

Nice! Mine didn't come in with yellow tips but when I looked up the Adam Bomb, I got super excited about those yellow tips! Good to know they eventually start coming in.

I had forgotten about the tips, then last week I was noticing on the branch that is going diagonally up and to the right. Now several other branches are definitely getting the yellow tips. It's a very nice piece and a pretty fast grower.

What par do you have yours under? And what type of lighting?

It's Radion g4 pros on the AB+ schedule with diffusers at 100% overall intensity and ATI Blue+ T-5's. I haven't measured it lately and a friend is borrowing my PAR meter, but it's probably over 400 PAR. I should have my meter back soon, and I'll post the PAR when I do.

Yeah I can't say I've heard of the Potassium dip Ty. So you like it for all pests? How do acros handle it? I use Bayer myself FWIW.

Yuck... LPS... good thing I just got rid of this thing hanging out in my frag tank.

One man's trash is another man's gold aussie treasure.

Kidding, I fragged this 4 months ago for a trade and it didn't happen. It was so pretty I just held on to it but then finally came to grips that I should move it along and share.

It was just 3 heads but measured 5.5" x 4.5". I still got momma so I'm have to just live with that.

Thank you! I need to measure my par again too. It's been awhile.

Yes, direct replacement for Bayer and not an insecticide. It is more harsh than Bayer though but will kill AEFW (confirmed by others) instead of only stunning them like Bayer does.
Oh, just misread, already gone I guess
Yeah, sorry sir.

I’m just posting here so I can follow all 3 threads [emoji1787][emoji1787]
