Got my LEDs!
It's crazy how much clearer it is than my LED fixture I have now. Very awesome.

Thought I'd throw a picture up of my tank now

I planned on doing the same thing as you with the strainer but a couple people in my reef club talked me out of it. I got a small overflow box and siliconed it to the top of my tank around my bulkhead.

Their argument was that there wouldn't be any surface skimming and there would be a film on top of the water. Since you have time, you might check out an overflow to put in there. Mine doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the tank, it's just a box. But then again my tank is around 30g.

Ha ya this is true ill have to get some nice pictures everything is just small frags that are actually growing very nicely!!! ill snag some pictures tomorrow when I get some new corals!


I am going back to T5s im doing a 6 bulb T5 fixture and accenting it with the LED strip. Ive had radions before but I just liked the growth and everything of the corals more with the T5s

I'm getting my atom bomb Friday, and some others. Mike is hooking me up. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas to come! My Dynamite I had I split into 2 frags since there were 2 separate eyes. So now I have 2 frags. Ill post a pic up later tonight on my build. And all my acan have a ton of baby's! Hot stuff alone has 6, tiger tail have 4 that I can see. And the others have 3-5. My buddy has 2 radions on his 90g and wow his stuff pops! And there the gen 1. I can only think what my corals look like. Need to buy 2 more tho. Got 1800$ I can have lol.

My previous tank was plumbed the way yours is now with the elbow. It was tough to get it adjusted right where I wanted it and the strainers for them can clog fairly easily. It will definitely work, mine was up and running 2 yrs until I shut it down after the hurricane. I did notice a film on top at times but this was fixed fairly easily by aiming my return more towards the surface.

DJ powers strips are nice in the fact you can shut off each plug.
