im in the process of creating a list of my corals at the moment. i know ill forget some because they arent right in front of my face but ill update it as I remember them

Yeah no one uses the same names haha. The psychedelic mandarin or green mandarin is why I got into this hobby. But I just bought a red scooter blenny (still dragonet) and a breeder box. I've been getting him on frozen food. he seems to be ok with it. I see him hunting and there are no pods in the box. although the mesh might catch some.

Yeah all the dragonets are awesome! I just bought a couple bottles of tigger pods and dumped them into the sump and it's kept them fed for months. I dump an extra bottle in once a month to be sure. Helps with algae also.

ya I think that is my plan also. just want these darn rocks in the tank to not be white!

Yeah I'm with you! I've got zero patience for such things. I bought "used" rock locally off Craigslist that was a few years old with tons of coraline! All kinds of purple. I recently had an outbreak of aiptasia and I actually dipped the troubled area in boiling water as a last resort, of course taking the coraline with it reminding me what rock looks like.

thats why im glad I did it that way though. no chances of any pest like that comin in on the rock!! im always scared of red bugs and nudibranchs

When I redo my tank I'm buying live bagged sand and then dead macro rock from BRS.

I want to minimize hitch hikers. I don't QT but if I get a really nice tank set up I think I will... And then I'll have two tanks!

That's why I bought mine the way I did. Was stable in a beautiful tank for many years. Zero pests.

On the circular piece you can see where it hit the boiling water... Buying rock from somebody getting out of the hobby is the best way to buy rock! It's the cheapest and they've already had to deal with the pests. And the rock is already encrusted with coralline and looks great!

ya exactly It would have to be from someone I really trust from around here and that is no one that was selling rock!

Im going to move more corals over today. while im moving them im going to try and take some pictures of all of them and put them up here. I just have to figure out the right light setting on the tank to do that!

Acans:
All the acans were partially shaded but in the past couple days they have not so they lost a little bit of color so they should be fine now once in the new tank back in the shade
