How do you target feed the pellets to the acan?

I use the squeeze bottle from reef chili. Smaller opening than a turkey baster so I can feed more accurately. Acans love it. Wait till they are open at night.

I use the long thin turkey baster. I actually had to open the spout up a bit to get one pellet through at a time. I feed once per week as this stuff can and will spike your phosphates and nitrates. I turn off all my pumps and feed my scolies acan and chalices that way

Fauna LPS food really is great stuff. With that said it's extremely potent! Do not overfeed, and make sure to watch your parameters if you feed this often. Also, I've seen coral tissue get burned if this food is left on the tissue for too long and not consumed... this was in coral-only tanks so those of you with a high fish load will likely not experience this issue :)

Woh, this hasn't ever happened to mine despite the pellets sitting on coral for maybe up to 2 hours. Are you talking if the food sits overnight?

Wow I been using for a few weeks now 1-2x a week and haven't seen that happen! Bt I have fish and clean up crew so it doesn't sit there for but an hour or so lol and usually once I turn flow back on blows off....

I've been feeding some of my LPS fish pellets for years. Recently got a sample of the Fauna, have been feeding it for the last month or so. I haven't seen a huge difference in feeding response from most of my LPS, but some of the fussy eaters seem to respond to it better than the fish pellets. I'm interested to see if it grows corals any better. I'd hope so, considering its 10x the price of premium fish food.

Be careful with feeding fish pellets. A lot of good fish foods use copper which will kill your corals over time.
