Looking to add two clowns of differing types in my tank but not sure which ones to pick. I’m interested in seeing pictures of pairs other members have kept & maybe that’ll help me decide. Drop your clown pair pics below!! :)

Usually mixing two different species of clowns is a bad idea. I did have a blood clown (a mix between ocellaris and maroon) that i had to take out since i really wanted black storms and every clown i added he will just bully. This is him when i caught him with the soda bottle trick sorry for the bad picture. Looks just a regualr clown but a bit darker looks bloddy red under blues which was nice.

I have an extreme Picasso (front) with a helmet snowflake. Lovely pair. They both have some bullet hole design on them which I love.

i guess I’ll have to take the chance & if anything remove if too much aggression but I’m thinking it should be alright. I’ve heard maroon clowns are pretty aggressive comparatively to other clowns so I think I’m probably going to stay away from them

Quite a beautiful pair you got!

Thank you! $20 each at my LFS, first salt water fish I ever got and they’ve doubled in size! I love them to bits and they’re definitely more than a little spoiled... I have them laying/ eating in my hand and they don’t even nip at me when I’m cleaning around ‘their’ power head. I only wish they’d host that beautiful RBTA... always love coming home to them swimming up to me

I've done black and orange and orange and snowflake with varying degrees of success (meaning: I currently now only have one snowflake). Went to the LFS last week and saw a beautiful black pair with anemone and makes me want black ones again...

Decided on one so far! An LFS near me had these recently & posted them on their fb page. Longfin clownfish :)

For the second clown I’m considering

Mocha Lighting Clown

Or

Extreme Gladiator

Trying to decide which will look better with the longfin

I am not a fan of the long fin clowns. Make me think of fancy goldfish. There’s something for everyone though. Hope you find it a good mate and pairing goes easy for you.

This is "Steve" he's an orange storm clown. My buddy. I'm still deciding on his mate.

Wyoming white (female)
Black phantom (male)

This pick is at the beginning while they were pairing up in QT:

Liking the contrast between the two! The reason I’m considering the mocha lighting is for the slight contrast with the longfin

Educate me if I’m wrong but wasn’t the main concern with longfins that they are a deformity. They seemed to be swimming around just fine like any normal clown

Are they more prone to diseases/have a shorter lifespan? Would like any info you guys think I’d find valuable

Not sure. I always thought all of these designer clowns began with a “deformity” or pattern that wasn’t normal. The long fins just aren’t my preference in appearance. Just as mine may not be to others.
