It depends on how 'nano' you are talking. The Dottyback would do great in a 30 gal. but if not many tank mates would probably be fine in a 20 gal. As all dragonets are pod eaters, yes they can be finicky. I have a pair of the ruby reds that eat pods all day, plus eat prepared foods (which usually doesn't happen). The Rainfordi goby is a great choice for a nano fish. They will do great in a 10 gal but require some sort of algae in their diet. These are just fish I have in my tank. I wouldn't suggest any dragonet to any new tank or new hobbiest.Orchid dotty back! Very nice! Are dragonets finicky? Pod eaters?
Definitely a rainbow parrotfish for suretie between hippo and lion fish.

I really like the black cap basslett.
Gold Assessor! I love mine, it has such a great personality
Some gobies get their nutrients from the sand, so they would likely have a hard time in a small tank. Many are very small and shy, so a small tank without larger, intimidating fish is great for them.A lot of gobbies being suggested in this thread. I thought they couldn't do well in a nano tank? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the purpose of this thread. Are you guys just referring to small fish?
