Today my acan colony is closed I noticed a white tube type thing and what looks like a feather type thing keep popping in and out. It won't come out now to take a pic but it's def not aiptasia as I have killed a few before. Here' a pic of the tube , towards bottom sticking out

It really shouldn’t bother it. But you can just scrape off the tube. Dips don’t generally do much. The worm will just hide in the sealed tube.
So it is a feather duster? I haven't added anything in months except snails. It' possible my acan is having a bad day. I'll leave it till tomorrow and see if he reopens. First one I've seen, it is neat looking but not if it harms my colony

It’s a bit fuzzy, but it looks like it is.
I’ve had a few “tickle “ my zoas and such and make em close up , but didn’t but not harm or sting them.

There’s few (rarely ) hydroids that look like tube worms, they’ll sting but you’ll se it.

Nancy tube worms are pretty hard to spot. So it’s possible it’s been growing for a while.

Thank you, I'll look up hydroids also but this def looks like a tiny white duster

I'e never seen what a stung coral looks like...
Kinda like a burn or spot or some tissue recession. Kinda hard to explain from coral to coral, but it’s been my experience you know it when you see it.

Hey I found about 4 of these in a cluster... I dont know is they are feather dusters or aptasia... there were a few aptasia in this area but thought I erraticated them. If any of you could help that would be awesome!

Def not aiptasia, I have killed a few ans this is nothing like it. Yes the tube is hard actually
i actually posted a pic of one i had here on the siteto find out what it was & got rid of it as soon as I was told that's what it was, actually broke off a piece of the coral skeleton it was attached to but saved the coral.
