Alright awesome! Do they have colors on the when they grow?

Most are white but you can get some with colors like red.

If it pops in an out and "grabs" at the water and the fan turns a bit sometimes it's a barnacle. Harmless and fun to watch. I have one that lives in the middle of my candy cane.
