February Meetin

Address? and yes I will take the Bubble tip! :)

OK, here is the list of those joining in the "SUPER AMAZING CORAL AND FISH FOOD" We can call it "ironmans delite" LOL!

Bryan - Brine shrimp, rotifers, cyclopeze
jim - Nori, broccoli
david - shrimp
doyle - white fish
phin - clams
chris, stacy - squid
Susan - oysters

If someone else wants to join in bring something to put in it, You can even go to bermuda or somewhere and buy some forzen foods there to add, just get something that isnt on the list already. Those bringing stuff, you need to keep in mind to bring enough stuff to make alot, the more you bring the more we can all take home. We could also use some omega3 or vitamen suplaments if anyone has extra. I will bring some. Anything you can think of to add would help!

Susan I will bring the phosphate meter, Stacy can you bring the par meter?

I have extra pellets, Medicated Garlic Flake, well thats about it......

Can i contribute with that?

maybe the medicated garlic flakes, bring the pellets, but im not an ash fan myself

Well, no oysters at fresh market, so I got some scallops and cod. Sorry

Please post if you need directions. I don't really want to put my phone and address in a public forum. My phone is in the private Chatt Reef club section. I'll be glad to PM directions to anybody that wants to come.

You all can study the effects of hair algae on a tank, the destructive force of roaming anenomes and watch/listen to Brandon criticize my tank/fish/corals etc (It is rather humorous to listen to).

Bring something to pack up a frag if you want (ziplock/cooler/glue/something to glue it to) I've got some zoas, some SPS that we can take some pieces off of and I think that Jim is going to bring some frags too?

Missed you Daniel, but I understand! Hey Susan great meeting and thanks for opening up your home. Your tank was looking great!!!

Please PM me your PP address.

how often do you have these meetings? I might would consider coming to one but i am just 16 if that bothers anyone. only had my tank for about 6 months.

We try and have a meeting once a month which is not really a meeting anyway. it's really just a time to eat, chat, and look at aquariums. You are more than welcome to come any time!

Blake, we have a member who is either 14 or 15, so 16 won't bother us unless you are a brat or something (which doesn't seem possible if you have a reef/saltwater aquarium....). You are welcome anytime. We'd love to have you. We can even pick you up if somebody lives nearby and you need a ride.

Young people in the hobby get a lot of free stuff (frags and such) many times because we like to encourage the hobby and we know young people usually don't have the money to get nicer things..... Come see us!
Susan

Susan, Thanks for hosting and it was great meeting everyone. Got the rose in the tank and on a rock. Couldn't see it this morning so it is on the move looking for a home.

Just be careful, it will kill anything it runs over. They are a wandering piece of mass destruction sometimes. It moved right over my superman yuma and I couldn't get it off. Dead yuma. Not even a trace of it left. You can discourage them sometimes by just irritating them from the direction that you don't want them to go, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. They sometimes go where ever you don't want them at night no matter what you do. Beautiful, but persnickity.... Good luck!!!

And thanks everybody for the complements on my tank. I'm still in shock that Brandon said it looked good. Brandon NEVER says anything nice. And I didn't get to use the par meter or check my phosphates. To much excitement making the fish food. I'll get them later.

I fed mine almost instantly after putting it into the frag tank. Can't wait to get home to check it out! :)

alright cool. what is the general location you usualy meet? I live in flintstone or east ridge at my dads and i can drive so probably wouldnt have to have a ride

Mine got a nice meal of Salmon tonight and looked pretty full.

Blake, the meetings are in various places. Someone new hosts the "meeting" to have everyone nitpick their tank :-)

Yeah Gudar, you really need to get with the program. I don't know that my tank will ever look any better than it did, and you missed some free frags....

man. well since i started band in the summer i haven't had a break and also working at the store. i'v been having band practice every day pretty much.
