1st why the hell is my package 2000 miles away second off how does it get from Indianapolis to Memphis in 7 Minutes???? Were they flying the stealh bomber or something??? This is why I dont ever use Fedex if I dont get this package by 3 im gonna be ******. I called and asked why is my package in Memphis hes like thats where the hub is which makes no sense but I understand then I say well ok so why did it go to Indiana then he said im not sure lol So hes confused which confused me more

bahahaah try UPS they're even worse!! UPS posted that receiver requested that i have them hold the package overnite! it was friday and they don't open on the weekends!

It could have been a missort that caused it to go to indy, If you pm me the tracking info i can track it from work and maybe get a lil better info for you.

I understand why they use a Hub its alot easier to gather all packages and distribute them all at one time then having planes and trucks going everywhere lol. But why did it go to indiana then memphis and still isnt showing its out for delivery which it normaly does. Thats why I only use USPS they are the only ones that dont seem to screw things up with me and when you use them locally youre getting it overnight rather than 3 days because it has to go to memphis

Memphis is the main FedEx hub....

Coming from Miami, there might not have been enough packages for them to justify shipping it directly there so they sent it to the hub. From the hub, everything going to Tampa gets routed to the plane thats going to Tampa.

yeah but when it arrives in tampa they are supposed to scan it for arrival then scan it whens its on the truck and it will say out for delivery. Well in my case my last update was at 11:22 and it said arrived in Memphhis

So FedEx just called me and said for some reason it was forgot at the hub so I will get it by 3 tomorrow. This is why you never use FedEx!!!! Ive had 2 deliveries from them the 1st one the plane was late and my SPS died bc it arrived 6 hours late in 90 degree heat. They were sorta barely alive when I got them and they completely died within 36 hrs I didnt bother the seller but was out $140 and now this time its gonna be a day late its only Zoas and Palys so I hope they make it.

So all in all after 2 tries FedEx has a 0% success rate theyve screwed up the only 2 orders I have received with them. So far USPS is the only place that hasnt screwed up and deliver when they say they will usually earlier than they say

That makes no sense you should have still been able to pick it up from the local express station. I dont think it was left at the hub.. I think it was misloaded to the indy terminal, at which point they should have sent it to Fl and you should have had to option to pick it up localy today.... Sorry for all your trouble:(

I have always used FedEx, for 3+ years now and have has 2 maybe 3 problems. UPS on the other hand is horrible IMO

every package shipped fedex goes through that memphis hub. its their main sorting facility!
its also where 99% of the delays come from.

how does it get from Indianapolis to Memphis in 7 Minutes????
Minor detail at this point, but the package crossed a time zone line and the scan times are local time for each stop.

FWIW, FedEx is the only shipper I've not had problems with when receiving corals, and I've received far more packages transported by them than UPS or USPS. The USPS has been pitiful when it comes to coral shipments IME.

your surprise is very common to any network designed activity.

The idea is to route everything to a central hub, sort, then send out.

this is much more efficient then each location sending out stuff to every other location. for instance if you had 10 locations with a hub you just need 10 routes to the locations and the hub. But if each location sent to the other nine locations you would have 9*9 or 81 routes. And each location would have to sort to all those routes. the problem grows and grows as more locations are added.

So whether you send a package across the street or accross the country Fed Ex routes to to memphis, sorts then sends it back out. In that way all packages are delivered overnight.

So I woke up this morning and noticed it has not updated so I call and the lady tells me "after we spoke yesterday and your packaged was scanned somehow the address label fell off and it never went out its actually in our undeliverable dept."???????? They are Paly's do you think they may make it 3 days??? She said its climate controlled because she asked if I still wanted it delivered or sent back I said no just deliver it that it may still have a chance. I then asked since they are stressed probably could you ship to my local Fedex/Kinkos about 1 min from me so its not in the hot truck she said absolutely. So I should have it tomorrow at 9am. So a packaged that was supposed to be overnighted from Miami to Tampa takes 72 hours?
