Other then them looking much better then socks . They basically do the same thing . I’m putting sponge in them , but you could put filter floss or even different types of media bags if you wanted to.

I cut sponge to fit . Couple different types .

Anything Acrylics. Look him up on Facebook. Thomas is a super nice dude . All I saw them in was black so I spoke with Thomas and asked if he could do red for me ( since my color combo is white/red) he said no problem .

I've been using filter floss in a Penguin (double compartment size) I bought at a garage sale) in a hang on the back filter for a long time.
I don't use their Cartridges, I just put a handful of floss where they go and change out every other day.

90g mixed reef. I change these 4x9 200 micron socks every two to three days easy. They filter a ton of crap though. Just bought couple of 4x14’s. How often does the floss or foam block up, or when do you think you have a nitrate making machine?
